Your body. Your baby. Your birth.
Your Nest Midwifery
Cornerstone’s of my practice:
Babies are people.
This is commonsense in my practice. We palpate and speak to babies as people in the womb, we honor that labor is an arduous journey for babies too, and we speak to and care for babies postpartum as individuals deserving of our attention, compassion and respect at all times.
True informed consent is crucial.
You are the boss of your care. True informed consent means complete explanation of risks & benefits of any offering & the option to decline. The only requirement in my practice is bloodwork which ensures your safety, the safety of your birth team, and is required by the state.
Transparency is vital to trust.
No one likes to have the rug pulled out from under them. I will tell you what I’m seeing as I’m seeing it. If I have a concern about your care, you will know it when I do and we will make choices together. If our plan changes, your team doesn’t leave you, we go where you go.
Education is essential.
In my practice we believe you can handle the truth about your health. We discuss the “why” behind every part of your care at length. We welcome your questions, personal research, and feedback.

My Philosophy:
I believe pregnancy and birth is a sacred, fundamentally normal, physiological process. I practice a holistic, intentional, family-centered model of care. I am passionate about helping each client give birth, safely and confidently. I am committed to respecting and protecting the birth space, allowing labor to unfold naturally and undisturbed.
During labor and birth, I maintain a non-interventive, hands-off style, while remaining attentive and available should the client or family need comfort, support or encouragement.
Throughout postpartum, I maintain continuity of care with frequent check ins and visits. Providing solid support during this time is close to my heart.
I have hand selected a team of individuals that share my philosophy and who reflect the cornerstones of my practice in each area of service to you.
